Joint Commission Compliance

RapidStaff is committed to delivering the highest standard of service and supporting safe, quality patient care for every client we serve.

RapidStaff complies with the Joint Commission's Standards for Healthcare Staffing Services. Our clients can trust that the processes and procedures within RapidStaff are designed to ensure healthcare professionals assigned to your organization meet the standards established by the Joint Commission.

To support compliance with Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services standards, RapidStaff provides the following overview of our service commitments and operational practices.

Subcontractors

RapidStaff will not utilize subcontractors to provide assigned healthcare professionals unless previously approved by the client in writing.

Floating Policies

Healthcare professionals assigned by RapidStaff are only placed in positions that align with their documented competencies, experience, certifications, and job descriptions. If a provider is requested to float to another department or unit, the assignment must be within a comparable specialty or care environment, and the provider must possess demonstrated competency and any required credentials for that area. Providers should only float to units with similar patient populations, clinical diagnoses, and acuity levels.

Competency Review

RapidStaff is responsible for conducting and completing pre-employment competency assessments for assigned healthcare professionals. Evaluations are based on the procedures, technologies, skills, and patient populations relevant to the client's care environment. Clients are responsible for orienting assigned professionals to facility-specific policies and procedures and for providing feedback regarding the provider's job performance. RapidStaff relies on client evaluations and communication to support ongoing competency assessments and quality assurance initiatives.

Orientation of Providers

RapidStaff provides all healthcare professionals with orientation to company policies, procedures, expectations, and compliance requirements. Clients are responsible for facility-specific orientation, including but not limited to: facility policies and procedures, safety protocols, documentation systems, equipment usage, unit workflows, dress code requirements, physical layout and emergency procedures. Clients are also responsible for validating competency related to facility-specific equipment and processes.

Employees and Independent Contractors

RapidStaff serves as the employer of assigned healthcare professionals and, unless otherwise specified, providers do not become employees of the client facility by virtue of their temporary assignment. At its discretion, RapidStaff may utilize qualified independent contractors, in addition to employees, to support the delivery of healthcare staffing services.

Incident and Error Tracking

RapidStaff maintains processes for documenting, tracking, and evaluating incidents, errors, safety concerns, injuries, sentinel events, and other reportable occurrences involving assigned healthcare professionals. Information gathered through these processes may be reviewed internally and shared with clients, regulatory agencies, or the Joint Commission when required.

Communication of Safety Concerns and Events

Clients are asked to notify RapidStaff within 24 hours regarding: competency concerns, safety incidents, complaints, injuries, and patient care concerns involving assigned healthcare professionals. RapidStaff encourages open communication and collaboration regarding any event or concern related to quality of care or workplace safety.

Staffing Requirements

Client-specific staffing requirements are established through written agreements between RapidStaff and the client organization. RapidStaff is responsible for providing healthcare professionals who meet the requested qualifications, including: licensure, certifications, education, experience, competencies, and health screenings. Our goal is to ensure safe, effective patient care for the populations served.

Conflicts of Interest

RapidStaff is committed to identifying and disclosing potential conflicts of interest whenever appropriate. Relationships involving vendors, clients, competitors, and regulatory entities are periodically reviewed to ensure transparency and compliance. RapidStaff employees are prohibited from accepting inappropriate gifts, compensation, travel, or entertainment from organizations doing business with or seeking to do business with RapidStaff unless properly disclosed and approved.

Staff Matching and Credential Verification

RapidStaff verifies each assigned healthcare professional's: licensure, certifications, education, work history, and clinical experience. This process ensures providers possess the qualifications and competencies required for each assignment. At the client's request and approval, staffing solutions may also include qualified new graduate professionals where appropriate.

Business Continuity and Emergency Preparedness

RapidStaff is committed to maintaining uninterrupted service during emergencies, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events. Through our operational network and contingency planning processes, we strive to continue supporting our clients during crisis situations. Copies of RapidStaff's Emergency Management Plan are available upon request.

Commitment to Service Excellence

Our goal is to consistently provide exceptional service and responsive support. If a client has concerns regarding the service provided by RapidStaff or one of our healthcare professionals, we encourage direct communication with a RapidStaff representative so concerns can be addressed promptly and effectively. If concerns remain unresolved, individuals or organizations may contact the Joint Commission directly regarding the quality or safety of care delivered by healthcare professionals assigned through RapidStaff. RapidStaff fully supports a culture of safety and quality and prohibits retaliation or disciplinary action against healthcare professionals who report concerns related to patient safety or quality of care.
