Event details

The PICU RN at Kaiser Permanente California delivers specialized, high acuity nursing care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. Working in a multidisciplinary team, the RN monitors complex physiologic parameters, manages advanced life support interventions, and provides family centered support throughout the continuum of critical care.

Due to the nature of strike staffing and rapid deployment, exact facility and placement details are confirmed during onboarding and assignment confirmation.

Unit description

Clinicians provide care in fast-paced clinical environments and work with interdisciplinary teams across the assignment.

Responsibilities may include

• Patient assessment and care planning
• Medication administration per protocol
• Documentation in the facility EMR
• Communication with charge nurse and RapidStaff leadership
• Participation in unit orientation and safety briefings

Requirements

• Active CA RN license
• BLS required; ACLS per unit requirement
• Recent experience in PICU setting
• Ability to start on short notice
