The Oncology RN at Kaiser Permanente California provides expert, compassionate care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. This includes managing chemotherapy, immuno-therapy, blood products, and symptom control, while offering emotional support and patient education throughout the cancer care continuum. The RN collaborates with oncologists, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and social workers to deliver holistic, evidence-based care.

Unit description

Clinicians provide care in fast-paced clinical environments and work with interdisciplinary teams across the assignment.

Responsibilities may include

  • Patient assessment and care planning
  • Medication administration per protocol
  • Documentation in the facility EMR
  • Communication with charge nurse and RapidStaff leadership
  • Participation in unit orientation and safety briefings

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license
  • BLS required; ACLS per unit requirement
  • Recent experience in ONC setting
  • Ability to start on short notice
